Inspired by Romans 8:25

One of the most difficult things to do in the midst of healing, separating, recovering, getting a new perspective and developing hope is: patience.

Yet, we can have hope in patience that x will come, no matter what it is we are hoping eventually will come. Hope is such a gift. Often times it’s a choice. I’m learning that hoping to have whatever it is we are ultimately hoping for requires patience.

God’s Word again points this out perfectly, with hope and Truth: “But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” Romans 8:25. What is even greater to a degree is what follows in the text: the Spirit helping us and even praying on our behalf (with groans!), the promise God gives that He’s workin things together for good and his ultimate plan with us in mind. And so: “if God is for us, who can be against us?” (v. 31).

Man this is hard to believe, remember, remind myself in those times and know the promise of it. But it’s true. And that is a great hope! Even if it requires patience – and even that we can have hope in through Jesus the Christ.
